New Idea on Private Schools In Kano

It is true that the fees of some privare schools isskyrocketingly dispropotional to the quality oflearning they provide and true yet, that the parentswho pay such fees know what they are getting out ofit.

It is right for people to suggest that the governmentshould close all private schools so as to sanitise thepublic ones.

But beyond all these there is the undisputable factthat we are in a free enterprise where privateservicesincluding education should run.

Now coming to the gist, I thougth of a solution to thedilemma faced by the three parties involved in theprivate education arena. Viz:
--The Parents who want quality services commensuratewith what they have to pay for their children.
--The proprietors who want make sense out of theirbusinesses and at the same time provide value fortheir customers.
--Last, the government that must regulate the industryand collect revenue taxes thereoff.

I have identified information as the crucial elementthat could hold the crossroads of the three partiestogether; so I came up with an idea for publishing a DIRECTORY OF PRIVATE EDUCATION SERVICES IN KANO which will showcase valuable informations such asschool names, proprietors, licensing and govt.approval particulars, rates of fees, and statistics onstudents, teachers, exam scores etc.

Ovbiously, all stake holders in privare education willhave something of benefit in this proposed compediumof information especially in the wake of the stategovrnment's present determination to instill nomalcyin the industry's subsector by creating the Task-Forceon Private Schools headed by the IMPOSSIBLE man.

--The parents would have an opportunity to chose whichparticular school suits their wards according tofactors such as exam results, fees, distance andavailablity of transport, social class, proprietor'sidentity and mission, cultural and religiuosorientation and so on.

--The proprietors have an incredible opportunityadvertise and be known by profective clients. Theystand to benefit from their merits by attracting thebest students and teachers; all as a result of theinformation they can provide therein.

--The government, would have no trouble in maintainingand supervising the schools as each competes toprovide better services and pay its revenue even so asnot to loose customers.
