BUK Home Department Faculty Syllabus Undergraduate Programmes

 
 

The Bachelor of Education (Adult Education) Programme covers four academic sessions and is based on a pool of courses organised in four levels. Unless otherwise stated, all courses are compulsory.


 
Level I

Candidates will register for  10 credits each in Adult Education and two other academic subjects selected from the Faculties of Arts and Islamic Studies, Science, Education, Social and Management Sciences; subjects must be approved by the relevant faculty as well as the Department of Adult Education. The candidate shall not, however, choose Education as one of the two subjects.

 
Level II

Candidates are required to read Adult Education and the same two academic subjects chosen in Level I. Each of the three subjects will be for 10 credits. In addition candidates are required to read G.S.P. of 4 credits.

 
Level III

Candidates are required to register for 20 credits in Adult Education and 10 credits in one academic subject in Level  III.

 
Level IV

Candidates are required to register for 34 credits in Adult Education. They will study either Adult Education or Community Development as their area of specialization in the second semester.
